24 years and going strong, Petron Mechanical Industries (PMI) or the manufacturing division of Petron Engineering Construction Ltd., established since 1985, is today one of the industry leaders in the field of EOT cranes and specializes in providing tailor made solutions to exclusive problems in material handling. The division has a unique work base at Mahape, Navi Mumbai from where all the Manufacturing activities are overseen in a state-of-the art environment. Providing a 360 degree range of services, it provides for design, engineering, manufacturing, erection and commissioning of all equipment under the sun, some of them being Standard EOT Cranes, Sophisticated Cranes like Stacker with Rotating Trolley and Telescopic Mast, Magnetic Cranes, Hot Metal Cranes, Electrically Operated Winches, Skip Hoist Winches, Dampers/Isolators and also revamping, modernization and modification of all kinds of EOT Cranes.
An example of the impeccable work standards and quality exhibited by PMI can be seen in chimneys manufactured and erected for M/s. Wartsila India Ltd. The Chimneys were self supported type as well as number of ducts enclosed in fabricated structures with all necessary platforms, ladders, insulation, cladding etc. The division also undertakes medium size projects on turnkey basis for which it has adequate manpower, tools and tackles to execute the work. At present two such sites are in operation.
